Managing multiple blogs
Managing multiple blogs will allow you to be relieved of the pressure of having everything riding on one site. Instead of having to rank on top for one site, on one major competitive keyword, with multiple blogs, you can rank in the top 10, with 10 blogs, on less competitive keywords. Overall, choosing to manage multiple sites will allow you to diversify your blogging portfolio. This will in turn, brings you ultimately that much closer to blogging success.
Managing multiple blogs is a pain!
Managing multiple blogs can be a hassle. I have already done 5 posts today in about 2 hours. Still, I have about 2 more hours of work left to do. Most of that will be spent on my link building campaign. My point is this: if you don’t want to work, then don’t. However, don’t ask yourself 6 months from now why you aren’t successful online. Managing multiple blogs is a pain, but unless you expect to be just as successful as Darren Rowse with one simple blog, then I would recommend that you do in fact have multiple blogs.
How to manage multiple blogs.
As if one blog isn’t hard enough to update, how in the world do you manage to update 5 or 10? Let me tell you guys that it isn’t all that easy. I have to get up early, I sometimes get distracted because I am working from home, and then things sometimes things just get flat out boring. If you want to manage multiple blogs you have to keep your eyes on the prize. Think about your success down the road. Envision that trip to Hawaii. Envision that nice car you’ve always wanted. More importantly, stay organized.
Managing multiple blogs takes organization.
If you’re looking to make blogging a rewarding career, you must be organized. Again, blogging is not easy money at first. However, the harder you work the more it will seem that the money will just begin to pour in pretty easily. You can make quick cash online, but again, it does take hard work! With that being said, I keep organized by having a “To Do” daily checklist of the following,
1) How many posts I do a day for each site.
2) How many videos I do a day for each site. (If applicable.)
3) A list of social bookmarking services to submit my posts to.
4) How many links I should build a day.
5) The keywords I am targeting as anchor text for each site.
6) Any forums that I should post in for extra traffic.
7) How many times a day I should post in those forums a day.
Multiple blogs with organization and consistency…
If you can create or if you use the checklist above, and you follow it consistently every single day, I have no doubt in my mind that your blogs will begin to rankly highly in the search engines and you will be successful. Again, the key to having multiple blogs is organization and consistency. With that same key, you will unlock your door to blogging success. Remember, blogging for money takes patience!
